100% Chance It Will Snow Somewhere in US: 2012/2013 Winter Predictions

Chief Snow Junkie November 17, 2012 1

It’s a tradition as old as winter itself — predicting the weather for the upcoming season. Now, I don’t know about you, but Rocky Mountain weatherman seem to have trouble guessing what’s going to happen that afternoon let alone season long trends. But after last winter, I’m willing to take any help to find the best snow this year. Note to mapmakers: You don’t need to use “cold and snowy” for New England. That’s just called “normal.”

Okay enough meandering. Take it away Nostradamus.

First up is Accuweather with their standard best guess scenarios.

Next up is the crew from Weather Advance.

If you like maps, science, and possibly the longest article ever written on winter predictions, then you’ll love the Weather Centre.

If all that science is too then check out The Farmer’s Alamanc weather map.

What do these people even know? How can there be so much difference. My favorite term: “Around Average.” Ha! Way to cover all the bases.
