No, I did not just coin the phrase “Springtacular”. All the credit for that goes to the Mt. Bachelor marketing department. They’re offering a steal of a spring pass for $149. It’s good from April 4th to the end of the season — which happens to be May 29th! Looks like we might have to move to Oregon. Unlike Colorado and California they welcome RV dirtbaggers with open arms.
There’s also a charity week from April 4-8 and 11-15, 2011. It sounds a little confusing. I’ll let the site explain:
Mt. Bachelor provides an allotment of $25 ski vouchers to five area non-profits that are valid for 10 days in January or April. The non-profits then distribute those vouchers throughout the community and when people use them to ski for $25, all of the funds goes back to the distributing charity.
Mt. Bachelor and Bend was one of our favorite stops on 100 Days of Winter so this deal comes highly recommended.

Our Take: Steamboat is having an excellent year and April can be snowy in the Boat. I’ve also never seen tickets so low for Steamboat so if you always wanted to get up there, this is your best bet.
Shouldn’t be a problem unless you were planning on celebrating March 17th alone…

There’s also a sliding scale until they reach their goal. It looks like tickets today will run you $45. Breakdown is below:
About this time of year, we like to check with megastore Costco to see what oversized lift ticket deals they may have. In past seasons, they have offered multi-day discounts and even a season pass.
But a heli-skiing ticket? That’s freakin’ awesome. For $999, you get a punch card that lets you get 25,000 vertical feet at Valdez Heli-Camps. This is a three-day trip with deluxe lodging and airfare is NOT included. Double up to 50,000 vert and five days for $1,999.
There’s a few other deals like $50 tickets to June ($199 4-Pack) and $50 Big White/Silver Star ($99 2-Pack). These deals change so if you’re interested scoop one up. And no, we don’t get any kickbacks from Costco. Just trying to help everyone save money!

The part that caught my eye was the Carte Blanche card is free which is the price that always makes me happy. Using the card gets you a greater discount on each visit until your fifth, at which point you’ll get a free ticket. As always, read through the fine print here.
The first time you use your card at one of the participating ski stations, you will receive a 10% discount off the regular price Adult and Student full day lift ticket and the rebates get bigger every time you use the card, up to a 40% discount! Every fifth visit we will give you a FREE full day lift ticket at the mountain of your choice.
