Yeah, I know. Why would anyone buy a pass for the month of April? Maybe because Alpine Meadows has absolutely killed it with snowfall this year. I was just there last week — and I know folks like to exaggerate on snowfall but I’m not lying when I say it was up to thighs. That’s March 22, AM looked and felt like the middle of January.

Get on board and come out for a few days. Tahoe is busting records open this season and Alpine Meadows isn’t even thinking about closing until early May.

Springtacular Savings at Mt. Bachelor http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/03/08/springtacular-savings-at-mt-bachelor/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/03/08/springtacular-savings-at-mt-bachelor/#respond Tue, 08 Mar 2011 23:51:59 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=5322

No, I did not just coin the phrase “Springtacular”. All the credit for that goes to the Mt. Bachelor marketing department. They’re offering a steal of a spring pass for $149. It’s good from April 4th to the end of the season — which happens to be May 29th! Looks like we might have to move to Oregon. Unlike Colorado and California they welcome RV dirtbaggers with open arms.

There’s also a charity week from April 4-8 and 11-15, 2011. It sounds a little confusing. I’ll let the site explain:

Mt. Bachelor provides an allotment of $25 ski vouchers to five area non-profits that are valid for 10 days in January or April. The non-profits then distribute those vouchers throughout the community and when people use them to ski for $25, all of the funds goes back to the distributing charity.

Mt. Bachelor and Bend was one of our favorite stops on 100 Days of Winter so this deal comes highly recommended.

Season Pass Deals: Sierra-At-Tahoe http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2010/11/04/season-pass-deals-sierra-at-tahoe/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2010/11/04/season-pass-deals-sierra-at-tahoe/#respond Fri, 05 Nov 2010 05:31:26 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=4904

We hit Sierra up on 100 Days of Winter and absolutely loved it. A parking lot, a lodge, and a mountain with killer terrain. That’s all we need in this life. We hit a fairly poor day for conditions, but knew instantly that this mountain had plenty happening, especially the loads of trees accessed through gates.

They also offer some insanely cheap season passes:

  • The $199 Sierra Only Sun.-Fri. pass (excludes blackout dates) is back to the original price we all loved!
  • The Sierra 7-Day pass (excludes blackout dates) is only $279.
  • The NEW Sierra Unlimited pass is valid every day all season long and is just $329 for Adults, $229 for Young Adults (13-22), and just $89 for Children (5-12) and Super Seniors (70+).
  • College students enrolled in six credits for the fall semester can take advantage of the College pass for just $229, valid every day all season long.
  • Want a free pass? Gather up 10 people to purchase the Sierra Unlimited Adult pass and you get to ski/ride all season for free. This offer is only valid through November 30, 2010.
