Mt. Baldy is Giving Away FREE Season Passes http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/20/mt-baldy-is-giving-away-free-season-passes/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/20/mt-baldy-is-giving-away-free-season-passes/#respond Tue, 20 Oct 2009 08:00:12 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=2427 Mt. Baldy

We’ve been seeing lots of insane deals for season passes, but this one from Mt. Baldy in California is operating on a whole different level. The Chamber of Commerce is offering — get ready for it–  FREE season passes for the 2009/2010 season.

That’s crazy talk, right? Not according to the chamber’s website which says: “As part of a special promotion we are giving these passes away FREE on a first come, first served basis. Save hundreds of dollars over the season by skiing or snowboarding for free. This unprecedented offer will expire at the discretion of the Ski Area, when we run out of passes, or when we open for skiing, whichever comes first.”

There’s a few catches. First is a $49 activation fee, which is still loads cheaper than the $389 season pass price tag. This fee gets you a virtual season pass which allows you to make online reservations which are subject to availability. There will be 1,000 tickets for Monday through Friday, and 500 on the weekend.

Even with these limitations, this is one of the best deals we’ve ever come across. Sounds too good to be true? Call Mt Baldy Ski Area at 909-982-0800 and make sure you mention the special Mt Baldy Chamber of Commerce offer.

Warren Miller Open Book Trivia Contest http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/10/warren-miller-open-book-trivia-contest/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/10/warren-miller-open-book-trivia-contest/#respond Sat, 10 Oct 2009 17:11:30 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=2195 WarrenMillerFreeCrap[It’s no secret that we love contests and giveaways and free shit. So this promo appeals directly to our slacker heart. Ski and Skiing are giving away different prizes everyday for answering a pretty easy question. The catch? You’ve got to register and you’ll probably have to go to their site to get the answers. Our favorite prize: You can win a backrub from Warren Miller. That might not be true.

Let’s let the folks from Ski and Skiing explain:

Each day during the 60 days from October 1 to December 1, we’re giving away one valuable prize to one lucky winner. You could win one of sixty prizes, including skis, free lift tickets, resort accommodations, and our grand prize, a four-day trip to Snowbird, Utah! All you have to do is check out this page and accept the daily “challenge” by answering a trivia question or performing a Facebook task. Good luck, and have fun!
