St. Patty’s Lift Ticket Blowout! http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2010/03/15/st-pattys-lift-ticket-blowout/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2010/03/15/st-pattys-lift-ticket-blowout/#comments Tue, 16 Mar 2010 01:33:47 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=4495 Note: This article HAS been updated for the 2010-2011 season

Why does New England have so many St. Patrick’s Day deals than anywhere else in the country? Maybe because they’re so close to Ireland. We don’t care as long as it means cheap lift tickets. Here’s the short list of deals for Thursday, March 17th, 2011:

Mad River Glen: $17 ticket for wearing green.
Waterville Valley: Ski for $17 ticket and spend the night for $17.
Jiminy Peak: $17 E-coupon on the site.
Suicide Six: All lift tickets are $6.
Mt. Snow: $17 tickets.
Cannon Mountain: Wear whatever you want. Its 2 for 1 Thursday

If that wasn’t enough, here are a bunch more cheap tickets from from Liftopia.

$10 Lift Tickets at Mt. Snow This Weekend! http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/19/10-lift-tickets-at-mt-snow-this-weekend/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/19/10-lift-tickets-at-mt-snow-this-weekend/#respond Mon, 19 Oct 2009 08:00:48 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=2415 69_neon_deco_open_signYeah, you read that right. Mount Snow is opening this weekend — October 31 & November 1 from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are going to run you a measly $10 or 10 non-perishable food items. They have even whipped up a 12 feature park for jibbing.

Of course it’s a publicity stunt. Of course you’re going to be riding on a thin layer of man-made snow. But admit it, if you could go, you’d be there. If only for the bragging rights.

F*#k the Recession: 5 Killer Deals in Vermont http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/05/fk-the-recession-5-killer-deals-in-vermont/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2009/10/05/fk-the-recession-5-killer-deals-in-vermont/#respond Mon, 05 Oct 2009 19:23:44 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=2100 Photo Credit: Stowe Resort

If you’re anything like us, the Great Recession means that very little has changed in your life. After all, we’ve been broke for the last ten years and are no strangers to scrounging up money for lift tickets.

What has changed this season? How about all the great deals that are popping up as resorts try to entice skiers and riders back to the hills? We’ll be covering these steals over the season in a little column we like to call: F*#k the Recession.

We’ll start with one of our favorite states. Here are five below the radar deals happening in Vermont during the pre-2009/2010 season.

The Killington Deal Grabber is back! They started this up last season to sell some deeply discounted tickets. This year, they’re offering K50 tickets — a $50 ticket good anytime during the 2009-2010 season except on 17 blackout dates.

Discounted tickets at Killington are few and far between, so if you’re planning on heading to Vermont this winter, scoop up some of these.

They are on sale until 10/15, or until they sell out. Whichever comes first.

Stowe has two excellent promos going on right now. Spend $25 on Church Street, collect the receipts and get a free Stowe Card! The card is valued at $79.

Keep shopping, rack up $350 and Stowe will knock that off your season pass (Adult StoweSeven+, StoweSeven, or StoweSix). You only have until October 11th to score on this deal.

Here’s an interesting season pass from Smuggs. The Hybrid pass is basically a midweek with a cheap alternative if you want to go on weekends or holidays.

Ski or ride Monday through Friday for , non-holiday, all season long – and pay only $25 on weekends and holidays. (Holidays defined as 12/25/09 – 1/1/10 and 2/13/10 – 2/21/10.) $399 until 10/31.

[via Smuggler’s Notch]

If you’re going to get a pass, you might as well get a free lift ticket. One complimentary all day, non-holiday lift ticket to all folks who purchase season passes, including all Full Season, College, Off-Peak and Mid-Week Passes (Five & Under Passes and any other special program that Bromley may offer are not included).

Are you in college and majoring in business? Get your feet wet by shilling for Mt. Snow. Sell 12 passes to fellow students and get a free one for yourself. Sell more than that and you’ll get a $20 commision for each additional pass.

They’ll hook you up with marketing materials, collateral, and ideas. Oh, and your Higher Education Season Pass is good not only at Mt. Snow, but Attitash and Crotched Mountain.
