Oregon – The Snow Junkies http://www.thesnowjunkies.com Lodging, Gear, and Lift Ticket Deals for Skiers and Snowboarders Thu, 07 Mar 2013 01:32:38 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.7.7 Mt. Bachelor Opening Week Special! $25 Tickets for Schools! http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/11/23/mt-bachelor-opening-week-special-25-tickets-for-schools/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/11/23/mt-bachelor-opening-week-special-25-tickets-for-schools/#respond Wed, 23 Nov 2011 23:10:41 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=5350
If you didn’t know, Mt. Bachelor is a kick-ass volcano in Oregon that everyone should try and hit up. If you do go, there’s an early season steal of a deal from November 28-December 2, 2011. You buy a $25 dollar voucher from local outlets, you get a free adult one day lift ticket. And 100% of your money go towards local area schools. The ticket sale ends on Black Friday (you can pick some up this day) so get cracking on it!

All the information you need is right here.

Springtacular Savings at Mt. Bachelor http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/03/08/springtacular-savings-at-mt-bachelor/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/03/08/springtacular-savings-at-mt-bachelor/#respond Tue, 08 Mar 2011 23:51:59 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=5322

No, I did not just coin the phrase “Springtacular”. All the credit for that goes to the Mt. Bachelor marketing department. They’re offering a steal of a spring pass for $149. It’s good from April 4th to the end of the season — which happens to be May 29th! Looks like we might have to move to Oregon. Unlike Colorado and California they welcome RV dirtbaggers with open arms.

There’s also a charity week from April 4-8 and 11-15, 2011. It sounds a little confusing. I’ll let the site explain:

Mt. Bachelor provides an allotment of $25 ski vouchers to five area non-profits that are valid for 10 days in January or April. The non-profits then distribute those vouchers throughout the community and when people use them to ski for $25, all of the funds goes back to the distributing charity.

Mt. Bachelor and Bend was one of our favorite stops on 100 Days of Winter so this deal comes highly recommended.

Mt Bachelor 96 Hour Ticket Sale http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/01/10/mt-bachelor-96-hour-ticket-sale/ http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/2011/01/10/mt-bachelor-96-hour-ticket-sale/#respond Mon, 10 Jan 2011 22:15:52 +0000 http://www.thesnowjunkies.com/?p=5243
I’ll let you sort through the fine print, but basically Mt. Bachelor is selling 2-day tickets for $96 during this 96 hour sale. Tickets can be used from January 17-March 17 with President’s Day as the only blackout time. There aren’t a slew of deals at Bachelor so I recommend picking up these $48 tickets.

Tickets go on sale Monday, January 10 at 5pm. Click here to order.

The fine print:

Mt. Bachelor will offer its best possible 2-day lift ticket rate for the 2010/11 winter season during a 96 hour online sales event beginning Monday, January 10 at 5:00pm PST and ending at 5:00pm PST on Friday, January 14, 2011. Purchase 2-consecutive-day adult lift tickets for just $96, or $48 per day, during this one-time sales opportunity. The $96, 2-consecutive-day adult lift ticket must be purchased online during the 96 hour sale period and is not available by phone, in-person at the resort, or through lodging partners. Guests will be able to pick up their tickets at Mt. Bachelor’s guest services desk at the West Village base area on their first day of use, between Monday, January 17, 2011 and Thursday, March 17, 2011. 96 hour/$96 2-consecutive-day adult lift tickets are not valid President’s weekend, February 19-20, 2011.

Tuesday, Feb 10 @ Attitash, NH: A typical deal usually has a hook.  This one has zero explantion for $35 tickets all ages.  We’re not complaining.

Wednesday, Feb 11 @ Sugarbush, VT: We almost missed this one too. Bring in an empty Vitamin Water bottle and get a ½ off lift ticket.

Thursday, Feb 12 @ Sierra-at-Tahoe, CA: The final day of Snowsports week to get a $35 ticket.

Friday, Feb 13 @ Belleayre, NY: Once a month, these New Yorkers say thanks with a $25 ticket.

Saturday, Feb 14 @ Loveland, CO: Get hitched and get a free lift ticket at Loveland. Twofer $56.  All you got to is get married in a mass ceremony.

Saturday, Feb 14 @ Ski Camelback, PA: Maybe our favorite promo of all time. The first 50 adults that show up in full pirate gear get a FREE ticket.

Monday, Feb 15 @ Winter Park & Copper, CO: According to the site, the Phillips 66 Buy One, Get One Free is valid today. We’re not sure if you believe that.

Tue-Thu, Feb 16-18 @ Killington, VT: The most irritating deal we found this week. Buy a ticket on 2/9 for $50 or on 2/10 for $55 or on 2/11 for $60 and go skiing 2/16-20. Makes sense, right?

West Coast: Squaw Valley, CA feels your pain state workers. $30 ticket on the first and third Friday until that crazy old budget gets fixed.

2 for 1 New England: Beer promos are the best promos. Drink some tasty Otter Creek, get a midweek twofer at Mad River Glen, Bromley, Bolton, or Jay Peak.

Rocky Mountains: Bring in a new pair of socks to Powder Mountain, UT on 2/26 and get a $40 ticket.

West Coast: Mt. Bachelor, OR announced a $29 midweek ticket. You got to buy it online.
